Summer Suede

Let’s face it, Suede is not easy to pull off! When we think of this material we usually think heavy, dark, hot and even old fashioned but this season we are seeing suede in bright colors and refreshing silhouettes. Designers and retailers are pushing this trend forward by making it timeless and accessible year round. Much like the leather trend which began with legging and pants, suede is also transitioning to shorts, skirts and dresses.

Traditionally this fabric choice came in very basic colors; black, camel, brown, it kind of reminded you of your grandma’s couch but lately this brighter, bolder colors are flourishing! Below see some beautiful suede pieces that will put you right on trend!

Embrace the Bump! Fashionable While Pregnant!

Maternity Style

Congratulations! You’re expecting! But what does that mean for your wardrobe?

Well bella, no need to stress…. you can still be fashionable, stylish, and sexy even if your bump is growing by the day.

Some common myths about “maternity clothes” is that they all consist of loose fitting, waist banded, unflattering and boring items. Well no longer! Today you can wear tight fitting fashion forward clothing that celebrates your pregnancy and that beautiful bump!

Women now a days go through their entire pregnancy not purchasing a single “maternity” item. You can wear your usual clothes. You may need to go up in size but here are a few items we recommend:

– Dresses; tight fitting or flowy. They are comfortable, easy to put on and stylish at the same time- opt for solid, bright colors they will bring out your inner glow

– Leggings; instead of waisted jeans try wearing thicker black leggings with an oversized shirt- this is both comfy and casual chic

– Wedges; you don’t have to completely throw out the heels just make sure you purchase comfortable pairs of wedges or chunky heels. These are great fashion forward alternatives to flats or sandals which are usually more painful since they don’t provide an arch

– Stripes; this is the most flattering pattern for pregnant women- horizontal stripes accentuate the bump and body while making you look slimmer

I found some great internet fashion retailers that offer cute fashions for today’s pregnant women! The links are below!

Rompers and Jumpsuits for Easter

On this sunny, Easter weekend don’t blend in and wear a dress life everyone else. Stand out and wear a romper or a jumpsuit!

This season we are seeing the cutest patterns for these stylish one piece outfits. Gone are the days of the boring ol’ solids. More and more brands are experimenting with stripes, graphics, and of course our spring favorite florals!

Key Tip for purchasing: TRY IT ON!

Romper and jumpsuits come in different lengths, styles, and fabrics. You want to make sure that they compliment your body type. If you are tall, stay away from rompers that are so short that you have to keep pulling it down. If you are petite, try on a jumpsuit that falls just below the knee.

Thanks to my sister, Lisa Quin for this blog post suggestion! Here are some cute, affordable rompers for your Easter festivities!

An espadrille is defined as a light canvas shoe with a plaited fiber sole, also known as one of the hottest summer shoe trends for 2015. Think Toms on steroids. This trend was started in Europe, as most new fashions are, seen walking the cobblestone streets of Italy and Spain. Chanel came out with the first designer espadrilles that consist of different shades with their signature “Cs” on the front. Since then this trend has taken off in flat, wedge, even boot form.

Now, there are a variety of colors, patters, and materials available to fit your taste and uniqueness. This is such a cute way to do casual!

We suggest pairing with capris and a denim jacket, or a light linen sun dress. You can grab your espadrilles at a bargain or pay a premium for the designer version. Everyone from Payless to Tory Burch is participating in the espadrille craze. See some glam options below!!

First Day of Spring Outfits!

The time has arrived! We are transitioning out of the cold, gloomy weather and looking forward to brighter days. Though Spring tends to bring allergies, it also provides great weather to rock the latest fashion trends! Here at BellaBelle, we are truly inspired by Kate Spade’s collection for Spring 2015. It does a great job of incorporating many trends for the season!

1. Florals never go out of style come Spring and Summer but this year we are seeing them pop in more abstract and artistic patterns. Not only are we seeing flowers incorporated into garments but leaves and vines as well. This is very flattering on any piece of clothing because it makes the eye concentrate on the design.

2. White on white is one of the cleanest, freshest trends for Spring. It has the ability to make you look chic even in casual attire. The best part is that is it easy! You don’t have to necessarily buy a two piece to create this cohesive look. You can buy separates, in a similar shade of white of course, and accessorize with a colorful purse to be right on trend.

3. Platform sandals stepped into the fashion scene last year but in a very dramatic way. This year, the platform has been cut down to make it more wearable. Though this is still a risk for any fashionista, we suggest that you go for it. It is very fashion forward and can even make you an inch or two taller!

Though Kate Spade isn’t within BellaBelle’s budget,  it is great inspiration for the season. Thanks to Liz for the post suggestion!!
